Why
Alliance4Aging Inc. is Vital to you.
In 1996
the
National Alliance for Caregiving, in conjunction with AARP,
conducted a
national survey. The results in 1996 were the following:
- 22.4
million American households had at least one caregiver
- of
those 22.4 million households, at least 64% of those caregivers
were
employed, either full or part time, while providing primary care
for
an elderly relative
- The
fastest growing age group in the country today is the sector 85
and older
- At
least half of the 85+ age group need some type of assistance
with their
daily needs (Association of Geriatric Psychiatry study in
February 2002).
- The
National Council on Aging studies project that virtually one
half of
the US population has a chronic condition.
A
recent survey showed that about 20% of seniors are receiving help
from
within the Health Care System and are supported by professional
Caregivers. These
professional Caregivers have expert working knowledge of the
resources
available to improve the quality of life and independence of the
seniors
in their care.
This
leaves approximately 80% of seniors outside the Health Care System
who receive help from friends or relatives.
Alliance
4 Aging was formed to offer support to the 80% of caregivers who
need help.
There
is no training for family Caregivers - each new Caregiver must
find the
resources to help their loved one maintain quality of living and
independence or to find affordable accommodation.

these resources.

the nation.
We
believe that we provide a real service to you (the Caregiver) by
explaining
the services available for your loved one and by helping you
locate
those services.
We
sort the potential services providers and then make an automatic
selection
of a ‘manageable’ number within a few miles of the ZIP CODE
of your
loved one and send details and contact information (in text
or full
color) within minutes.
We
like to think of our help as kindly hand-holding rather than
merely
giving a list of several thousand services from all over the
nation.
